SIA "KARME FILTRS" was established in 1994 and became one of
the first private water treatment companies on the territory of the
former Soviet Union. Within fifteen years we progressed to being a highly
successful company in this field. Our organisational resources include
a water treatment equipment assembling facility, design and technology
department, and a service division, providing equipment installation,
start-up, warranty and post-warranty service, and on-going maintenance
and repairs.

installation, supplies of chemicals, spare parts and components,
fine-tuning, warranty service and follow-up maintenance. Technical
support and on-going quality control always remain our top priorities.
SIA "KARME FILTRS" is specialising in drinking and industrial
water purification technologies. We consult our clients on how to
upgrade existing water treatment facilities looking for the best
"price-to-quality" ratio. Over the last ten years we have
developed knowledge and technical expertise that many of our clients
find very valuable. Within a short amount of time we resolve technical
problemsat a reasonable costwhilesaving our customers' energy
resources.

Our head office,assembly facility and warehouses are located in Riga,
Latvia and occupy total premises of 2,500 sq. meters. Due to our
geographic location, the Baltic countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia),
and Russia play the central role in our business.We deliver and install
a wide range of equipment (e.g., backwash filters, water softeners,
dosage equipment) for residential, commercial and industrial use,
including skid mounted and container types. |

Since 1997 our affiliated company
- "KF CENTR" Ltd. works in Moscow and successfully promotes our
business in Russia. Today, more than 30 Russian subcontractors use equipment
and technologies of SIA "KARME FILTRS" and those of our foreign partners.
In 1999, another affiliated company - UAB "KF Vandens Technologiju Centras"
was established in Vilnius (Lithuania) to work in Lithuanian and Belorussian
markets. In 2007 was established affiliated company - "KF BALTICA" Ltd.
in Kaliningrad (Russia) to work in the Kaliningrad oblast of Russia.
Over the last 5 years, we put a special emphasis on using chemical
technology for water treatment and conditioning. This approach is
actively used for water treatment in heating and cooling systems,
air-conditioning systems, and in boilers. Our close cooperation with
Nalco under the "WATERGY" ("Water + Energy")
program plays an important role in this process. Within the framework
of this program, SIA "KARME FILTRS" became Nalco
exclusive dealer in the Baltic region.
In the Baltics and in Russia, we offer services to several hundred
clients - from small companies with very limited water treatment
capacity to large operators of boiler houses and industrial enterprises.
When implementing "turn-key" projects, we provide conceptual
and technological design, hydraulic analysis, calculation of capital
expenditures, staff training, equipment purchasing, installation,
and fine-tuning, putting the plant into operation, warranty service and
post-warranty maintenance.
In each project, it is important to calculate exactly what quality and
capacity the client requires. Careful data analysis is necessary to
ensure the economic effectiveness of the project. An accurate ratio of
basic load and peak load must be found in each case to provide necessary
accumulation of purified water. This takes a lot of preliminary technical
work on the client's site, including projecting the water balance,
developing an hourly schedule of water consumption, determining the
necessary quality and volume of water for specific technological purposes,
and providing post-installation technical services to the client.
We always try to find the best combination of technology, capital
expenditures, and on-going operating costs. Our primary goal is to meet
client's technical objectives in the most cost-effective way.
